About Us

Youth First, Inc. is a 501(c)3 organization based in Evansville, Indiana, and primarily serves the Southwest Indiana region.  Youth First follows the best practices recommended by the National Institute on Drug Abuse and other experts in the field of prevention.  The agency provides programs with proven outcomes, regularly evaluating results and making improvements as needed.  Many of Youth First's programs are listed on the National Registry of Evidence-Based Programs and Practices operated by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).  Youth First is governed by a Board of Directors and funded by charitable donations, grants, and fees for services.

Our Model:

  1. A team of well-trained and supervised professionals, primarily Master's level social workers (MSWs) placed in schools.
  2. A menu of high quality, evidence-based programs targeting youth, parents/caregivers, and the community.
  3. Ongoing evaluations that measure results and guide improvements.
  4. Strong partnerships with schools, churches, and other community agencies.
  5. Passionate and committed community volunteers who serve as leaders, advocates, and fundraisers.
